Established in 1989 as a lawn and garden dealer, Zerkle Diversified Enterprises, LLC has evolved into a diverse power equipment retailer. Founded in 1989 by Roger Zerkle, educator, author, and Aircraft Mechanic, ZDE has always had an interest in Sport Aviation. In the early 1990s, ZDE became the exclusive distributor of Cuyuna and 2si engines for the recreational market, supplying OEM’s dealers, and end-users around the world. When the AMW-Cuyuna engine company suspended the manufacture of recreational engines in 2003, ZDE became the world’s largest source of Cuyuna/2si engine parts.
