In the fall of 1977, two high school buddies began cutting firewood for sale. This small business quickly expanded and in 1978 the two began selling wood stoves. In 1982 Severns bought out his partner and built The Woodway into what we know today. The Woodway has been a family established and managed business in the Fairbanks area for over 40 years and is proud to be a part of the Fairbanks community.
Today the Woodway offers wood, pellet, and gas stoves; wood, gas, and electric fireplaces; oil heaters, chimneys, accessories, grills, and outdoor power equipment, as well as power equipment services.
