Plateau Truck & Tractor, LLC was founded over 20 years ago by Ralph and Kevin Padgett. Ralph (Kevin’s father) had prior successful experience in ownership of a retail tractor dealership and a construction firm. For many years, Ralph and Kevin had also farmed several hundred acres in the beautiful Cumberland Plateau region.
The “tractor sales bug” bit Ralph again a few years later, when he learned that Kubota Tractor Corporation was interested in establishing a local dealership for its equipment. With some persuasion from Ralph, Kevin decided to quit farming and join his father in business.
