Andy, sole owner of Jarratt Hardware in 2019, was born and raised in Jarratt, still residing there today with his family (wife, Lexi, and three boys) on a farm. As a family we are very active in our community and do almost everything together. We enjoy outdoor activities including canoeing on the Nottoway River and Okefenokee Swamp, spending time on the farm hunting and hiking, raising chickens and bees, building treehouses and campfires, participating in local community activities like the Purdy Cub Scouts, attending 4H camps, and planning and participating in church outreach and mission projects.
Together we serve on the Jarratt Recreation Association (JRA) board, coach league baseball and soccer teams, and serve on our church outreach team. Our boys enjoy playing in the community recreation leagues for baseball, soccer, basketball, and golf!
As a family owned business (the boys LOVE helping us at the store; whether helping work on a chainsaw, unloading the trucks, checking a customer out, or just offering a high five) we strive to serve our community in a multitude of capacities, including services, products, events and programs, and community advocacy. We love our little community and hope to continue its legacy: neighborly, honesty, and integrity.
