Clapp Tractor has been in the business of selling equipment, parts, and service to the agriculture community for over 80 years.
Brothers Sam and Ben Clapp founded the store in 1937 in downtown Siler City. Following the brothers, Ed Clapp, a relative of Sam and Ben owned and operated the dealership for many years until it was sold outside of the Clapp family in 1994. Al Clapp, son of Ed, spent his early years working in the dealership with his father and went on to own a body shop for 26 years while also running the family farm. In 2006, Al decided to purchase Clapp Tractor, thus bringing it under Clapp ownership once again. Since purchasing it as his own, Al has been committed to continuing the legacy. The Clapp’s dedication to their customers’ needs has earned them a reputation for being honest, trustworthy, and dependable.
We invite you to visit our showroom, many things have changed over the past 80 years, but our commitment to our customers isn’t one of them. Hay and poultry farming equipment are our specialties; however, we also sell lawn and garden products. We are an official dealer of the following brands: New Holland, Mahindra, Bad Boy Mowers, Bush Hog, Great Plains, Enorossi, and STIHL.
