Carter’s Ace Hardware of Eustis

Bronson Hardware has been around since 1942 when Mr. Bronson Sr. started a hardware store in historic downtown Eustis. It was not until 1989 that Roy Carter Sr. purchased the store from Bob Bronson, who turned it into an Ace Hardware. Roy Carter remained in that very same building that Mr. Bronson sold to him for seven years, only changing the store name to Bronson Ace Hardware. The store is still currently doing business in downtown Eustis, but made the move to its current location on Orange Avenue in 1994 to a building which was once used as a car repair garage! Roy Carter decided to expand the business in 2003, so he removed the inside wall and encompassed the retail space next door. Mr. Carter and Bronson Ace Hardware have received many awards, such as the Florida Retailer of the Year Award and the Best Hardware Store Award from 2009 through 2010.
