Bear Hardware

Bear Hardware is the namesake of Curt Scroggins’ brother, Barry Scroggins. Curt and Barry had a close relationship, even working together for years at Kleindorfer’s Hardware in Bloomington, Indiana. Curt’s life-long nickname for his brother had been”Bear.” Sadly, in August of 1991, Barry lost his life when he interrupted a burlary in his home. After purchasing Cook’s Hardware in 1999, Curt renamed it Bear Hardware and dedicated it to the memory of his brother. Barry is sadly missed every day and will live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. ​ Many others are gone now from Bear Hardware, both employees and customers alike. They all remain in spirit and are thought of and reminisced about often
