WIRTZ LUMBER AND SUPPLY INC

One of the first three businesses to open in Guymon in 1900 and originally founded by E.T. Guymon as the Star Lumber Company, it has grown from the 576 square foot building that burnt down in the 1920’s to the 12,000 square foot showroom with the lumber yard and buildings filling an entire square block, with additional storage across the street, that is Wirtz Lumber today. Upon entering the doors, you will find something that today’s big chain store don’t offer – personal, friendly service of an era gone by and a sense of the history of the store.
