The Spikes & Houles family of feed stores have been serving local Minnesota communities for over 100 years. There is a photo hanging up at the Spikes & Houles store in Forest Lake dated August 21st, 1916 that shows E.J. Houle making his first sale from the back of a horse-drawn wagon. From those humble beginnings, Spikes & Houles family of feed stores have grown into six locations serving thousands of customers and their beloved animals and pets. On a given day, Spikes & Houles will feed dogs, cats, horses, chickens, livestock, and even zoo animals! Our employees are knowledgeable because like our customers, they are also animal lovers, pet owners, and have first-hand experience of each product they make and sell.
