Stevens Hardware of Greenfield Oh, Highland County was established by Charles and Lynn Stevens in December, 1989. The original store was downtown on Jefferson Street. It had real character by having old wood floors, shelving and rolling ladders and being narrow in size. It reminded you of an old time hardware store. After a few years the store needed to expand and relocated around the corner to a larger building on Washington Street. This is where the store added furniture and appliances to the inventory. Approximately 1996 Stevens Hardware moved to the western edge of Greenfield to a new store with 10,000 square feet.
This allowed for expansion in all departments and new products were added to the existing inventory. Today Stevens Hardware strives to meet the needs of the village and our rural customers. Extended hours are for the convenience of the customer. Knowledgeable employees are always on hand to help with a purchase. A friendly atmosphere and desire to serve the customer by providing information and service are two of the most important goals of Stevens Hardware that have been carried on through the 33 years that Stevens Hardware has been serving Greenfield and surrounding areas.
