My goodness… it’s been quite the ordeal these past few years, as we all know.
Wildfires (our “new normal”), rolling blackouts and the pandemic, but business has never been better.
With the wildfires, it was a devastating parade of customers who had to replace everything they lost. Our hearts bleed for them, but we do try to make things a little better by offering a “Hello Kitty” sticker on items being replaced.
Even with the pandemic, business was very good. Unfortunately, factories were shut down. And all our suppliers are still trying to play “catch up”.
Back-orders are at a record high. But things are starting to come through now. As you know, our annual open house had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions. 2020, we still held the raffle, but no open house. Apparently it was the year of the “Danny”, as the two items we raffled off were both won by men named Dan.
Sadly, we have no pictures, since there were only two people in attendance.
