In 1968, Jim started in business by opening an APCO full-service filling station and hired his younger brother Dave, to help out. Soon after opening, Dave moved on and Jim hired Brian, a friend of the family, to take Dave’s place. Jim’s venture in doing basic car maintenance and selling Goodyear tires grew quickly. This growth initiated the construction of Jim’s Tire & Auto Service, Inc., a Goodyear concept store, just north of Harry, on Rock Road.
Throughout the years, Jim’s Tire and Auto has become a family owned and operated business. Four of Jim’s sons help out in running the family business to this day. And yes, Jim still pops in from time to time.
