Ace Hardware-Buffalo

On Dec 31st, 1980 Robert and Janet Zimmerschied purchased the hardware store from Glen and Dorothy Fickes and operated it at that location until March of 1983, when the business was moved to the former Knepper Electric building at 80 S Main. In October of 1985 they remodeled the then empty Safeway Store at 79 S Main Street and moved the store back to where it had been in 1942. In 1996 True Value merged with the Coast to Coast Coop and in the spring of 1999 the Zimmerschied’s decided to change to the Ace Hardware. Ace relocated to 385 East Hart on Nov 7,2007. As the helpful folks in Buffalo we promise that, “helping you is the most important thing we have to do today!”
