Commercial Cutting Equipment was founded in 1995 when 4 friends decided to start an outdoor power equipment company. Two of those original partners, Tom & Ken Taylor, come from a long history of family-owned businesses in Blount County. As one of the area’s first Exmark dealerships, CCE set the standard for not only offering a wide array of products but also for delivering excellent service. Over the years as the business grew, the original partners were ready to pursue other avenues & a new generation of Taylor family members stepped in.
Whit & Sarah Taylor both grew up in Blount County as part of small, family owned businesses & have fond memories of watching their parents serve the community. They have dreamed of owning their own business since the time their marriage began. So, the couple began searching for the right opportunity to start or purchase a business of their own, one where their 2 young children could take part & be exposed to serving the community just like they were. In 2017, the time seemed right to make the move and Whit & Sarah purchased CCE. In addition to the ownership change, the business needed to relocate due to a major roadway expansion.
