Welcome! Established in 1980, Hamshaw Lumber is a family-run business that provides quality building supplies and exceptional customer service to Southwestern New Hampshire, North Central Massachusetts, and beyond.
In 1980, Doug Hamshaw purchased the lumberyard, and Hamshaw Lumber was born. Hamshaw Lumber rapidly grew in the subsequent years. In 1988, due to the tremendous volume of business in the North Central area of Massachusetts, Hamshaw Lumber established a partner store in Orange, MA. In 1997, Hamshaw Lumber established the Hamshaw Kitchen and Bath Center, and Marianne Hamshaw established the original location for The Cheshire Horse, Hamshaw Lumber’s subsidiary company and a retailer of equestrian, farm, and pet supplies.
