Scott McLendon was born into the hardware industry, working at McLendon Hardware since he was 8 years old. He learned his strong work ethic from his family, and also that customer service always comes first.
In January of 1995, Scott McLendon’s Hardware opened for the very first time in Port Orchard, Washington. Starting out with only 5 employees, it only took a matter of a few years before we grew enough to move to a larger facility and hire more people to meet your day-to-day project needs. After much success in providing Kitsap County with a local- and family-operated alternative for their home improvement needs, the decision was made to open a second location in Belfair, Washington in March of 2000.
Scott McLendon’s Hardware has now been in business for over 25 years–operating in two locations, with over 60,000 combined square feet of retail space, and nearly 70 employees. And our goal today is the same one that first captivated Scott so long ago: to provide our customers and community with great customer service.
