Newby’s Ace Hardware

Newby’s Hardware Hank opened east of the Post Office in downtown Dickinson in April, 1977 having started out as a local hardware and lumber yard in both Regent and Mott. After learning much from his father, Craig Newby took over the business, and in 1983, moved it from downtown Dickinson to a location on 12th Street West where it officially became Newby’s Ace Hardware. To better accommodate the needs of our growing community, Newby’s Ace Hardware moved once again to a larger location in 2003 where you find the Helpful Hardware Folks today, on the busy corner of Hwy 22 and 12th Street W. Continuing in the family, Cliff Newby joined Craig in the business in 2009 and has been working at continuing the family legacy of superior customer service.
