Cougar Sales & Rental, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Ron “RJ” Schmitt and Jim Holton as a concrete sawing and drilling company. After many years of sawing and drilling the company added sales and rentals of contractor’s equipment and supplies. In 1981 the company was split into two separate companies. Jim Holton took over the contracting side, and “RJ” continued with the sales and rental side as Cougar Sales & Rental, Inc. The company is now owned and operated by Joanne and Marty Schmitt, and continues to serve the commercial and industrial construction industry.
