Detroit Diamond Drilling

In 1961, Detroit Diamond Drilling began servicing the metro Detroit area. Founded by Roy Sweet, DDD is one of the area’s oldest specialty concrete coring, cutting, and construction supply companies, as well as Detroit’s oldest Stihl dealer. Current owners, Jim Grunewald and Kirt Hardoin, joined the company in 1969 and 1973 and grew DDD into a successful, small business, maintaining the highest standards for quality and safety. Detroit Diamond Drilling has shared in the city’s struggles and prosperities, leaving their handprint on some of Detroit’s most iconic buildings, including the famous Renaissance Center. Leveraging their 55 years of experience, and long-standing relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers alike, DDD’s team continues to stand out as industry leaders and trusted professionals.
