Opened in 1976 by Wilbur and Louise Fullaway, Calaveras Lumber began in the north end of Angels Camp as a lumberyard built around quality lumber and strong relationships. With the help of their son Mike and his wife Diane, as well as many dedicated employees, the company continued to evolve and expand.
Calaveras Lumber Company moved to the current location at 155 South Main Street in 2000. With lots of work and many yards of concrete, the location became a full-service lumberyard and retail hardware store meeting the needs of homebuilders, remodelers, and do-it-yourself-ers.
